What We Do

The Bella Foundation is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization based in Oklahoma City created to assist low-income, elderly or terminally ill pet owners with the cost of veterinary care when it cannot be afforded and also find permanent loving homes for rescued animals. To be considered for this program please review our assistance guidelines.

We also have an active volunteer foster program, where dogs are transferred from the Oklahoma City Shelter into foster homes, where they live while they are waiting to be adopted. All dogs for adoption are spayed or neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and come with a lifetime return guarantee. Since 2009, The Bella Foundation has found homes for more than 1,000 dogs!  Join us as a Foster Family.

We are not affiliated with or a local branch of any national humane society or SPCA. We operate only in the Oklahoma City metro area and are completely reliant upon donations to fund our lifesaving work.

We also always need volunteers! The Bella Foundation participates in many community outreach events, at PetSmart stores, local festivals and other events where we usually have dogs for adoption, but also talk to people about pet care, responsible pet ownership and spay and neuter. CJ

CJ is a very wonderful Pitt Bull that we rescued from going to a local Shelter. Thanks to the cooperative efforts of City Animal Hospital, Neel Veterinary Hospital and The Bella Foundation he now has a new home with a loving family.

Sue

When SUE was referred to us for treatment she had Parvo and was a very sick little girl. After spending a week in the hospital, Sue was much better and was able to return home to the people who love her. Sue is one of the luck ones, most puppies don't survive. Sue wants everyone to learn from...
We found River hobbling around our front yard about a week before Christmas. She was small and scared and injured. We wrapped her in a towel and took her to a vet, only to find that her pelvic bone was broken in several places. Not being able to afford the surgery on our own, we contacted The Bella...
I adopted Goldie, now known as Chivas, in May 2012.  Since then she has charmed everyone I know and she is the sweetest little puppy.  Her favorite thing is to play with squeaker toys and chase her feline sister Abby.  I think she is the greatest dog ever.    Thank you...
